Fear

I've been having thoughts and curiosities about fear and its place in health. Questioning the use of fear in our entertainment and the deeper meanings of Halloween. Is is essential in the raising of our young to introduce factors of fear? How much and in what way.  What is the importance of set and setting and what of our secondary responsibility of support for those in fear. For instance when I watch his favorite movie "Twister" with my 4 year old son.. or when to introduce him to a more dramatic film such a Jaws? What role does fear play in his ability to cope with anxiety in his life. To be able to differentiate between a perceived threat and a real threat? Is there an IQ for this and how is that linked to intuition? What is the relative relationship to fear and estrangement of the familiar and how often does that influence the path of behavior solidified in our daily life as the condition of a static state of being? Is it possible to utilize subtle adjustments in our relationship with our own conditioning to promote a stronger reflexive ability to cope with anxiety and even fear? Is anything other than fear powerful enough to break on through the behavioral sustain of ones life, to motivate the engine of this locomotive of consciousness bound by the rails that are the influence of the sum total of our lives choices to switch track? When is a person most likely to change a behavior?  What is the thin line uniting fear with comedy, are they not closely bound to the unfamiliar?  Do meditative arts promote a healthy relationship with fear through subtle confrontation with an unconditioned potentiality of awareness? Fear when it settles in, it feels like an adrenal heaven. Fear stays with us through conversion and settles within as a primary part of our personal identity of experience. It becomes transformed into some kind of wisdom.  "I can see clearly now the rain has gone, I can see all obstacles in my way. Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind. Its gonna be a bright, bright sun shining day."
